Dr Adrienne Heerey is a specialist in early, peri and post menopause management. She can offer advice on need for and safety of hormone replacement therapy and is happy to discuss the risks and benefits of non hormonal remedies. She recognises the impact of hormone depletion on patients lives and advocates for appropriate care and treatment for all ladies at this stage of life. She focuses on lifestyle intervention in conjunction with HRT for menopause management.
Initial menopause consultation takes 30 minutes and costs €150 for private patients. Follow-up menopause consultations are standard appointment time and cost. Medical card patients from westside surgery are not charged for their menopause consultations but will need to book a 30 minute appointment for this care. Patients from other practices are welcome if their own GP is not a specialist in menopause management. The charge will be €150 for all non practice patients.
