Dr Kieran Coleman is originally from Newbridge, Co. Galway. Prior to medicine he worked as a secondary school Science teacher in Dublin and New York. He studied medicine in NUIG and completed his GP training on the Western GP programme. He has a special interest in minor surgery, paediatrics, old age medicine, addiction and mental health. He carries out minor surgical procedures and joint injections in the practice.
Kieran also works part time in the Emergency Department, University Hospital Galway and provides voluntary support to the ambulance service attending cardiac arrests in the area.
He has an interest in inclusion health and has established a weekly medical clinic and a street outreach clinic to assist Galway’s homeless community. Westside Surgery is a GP training practice and Kieran is a GP trainer on the ICGP Western Training Scheme. He has three young children and lives locally.

Dr Adrienne Heerey graduated from NUIG in 2011 and then completed her GP training on the Western GP programme. Prior to this she worked for many years in clinical research as a clinical trials manager and health economist.
She has a special interest in women’s health, menopause, contraception, antenatal care (including crises pregnancy), paediatrics and diabetes. She performs Implanon, Mirena and Kyleena insertions and removals.
Adrienne lives in the Salthill and provides voluntary support to the local GAA juvenile teams as coach and doctor.

Dr Sean MacGiobuin graduated from University College Dublin in 2006. After gaining experience working in surgical specialities and Emergency Medicine, he began GP training as a GP in Galway in 2012.
Dr Sean has particular interests in health promotion and children’s health. He continues to work part time in the Department of Paediatrics in University Hospital, Galway.
Beyond work, Sean enjoys getting outdoors as much as possible – cycling, kayaking,fishing and sailing. He would watch or have a go at any sport. He has been involved in the GAA since childhood and currently coaches in St Michael’s and Rahoon Newcastle.
